Day 45 After Kidney Transplant

Posted July 7, 2023

This is day 45. 45 days since a wonderful surgeon placed a young 33-year-old cadaver kidney into a

70 year old diabetic, one just off

dialysis for more than 31/2 years

No, it was not a walk in the park, every other day for four hours a

Session. With set up and the commute, you must add 2 hours more. It’s a full time job with no paycheck. All of the techs were trained very well. The nurses were a delight, they made you feel ccf as well as possible. The place was

cold, by design yet l very clean.

So, I’m home now. Indeed it’s the middle of the night, actually it’s now 2:43 am. My Susan is fast asleep. Me, not so much. The doctor say that the many drugs that I’m taking reek havoc inside me and that keeps me awake. I took a two hour nap earlier today and I’m not tired now. I hope and then level up.What should I do?
My oldest daughter sent two photographs from her recent travels. I found a 7”x 7 ” square piece of slate at Michael’s, the craft store. I enjoy visiting the store to see the close out area. I usually find items that have been scratched or dented doing chipped pieces of flat wood that I could use as a canvas. Do you usually mark down a lot the slate cost only a dollar don’t tell Samantha.

These pictures were sent to me last week. How do I hang these pictures of my NOW precious first born SAMANTHA . The famous Dr. Samantha is a sweet & wonderful veterinarian who practices in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. We are so very proud of her many and varied accomplishments. But most of all we are jealous of her world travels. You wouldn't believe this almost 5 foot young lady (44 years old) has been from Africa to India to Thailand to Saint Kitts to Canada to Costa Rica to Mexico to Hawaii to Orlando to visit Mickey her first love and of course to the beaches of the great state of sunny Florida. She saved. the best of her best various travels to visit her non-cracker parents. Yup, our home, Harbor Beach, the tranquil southern most point of the beaches of Fort Lauderdale to visit Susan and this 71 year old with a new kidney called SYDNEY recipient. We are so so grateful to all of you who stayed with us during the last 45 days of a post seven hour surgery. We are in love with each of you and promise to be by your side if ever you call.
