Day 50 After Kidney Transplant

Posted July 12, 2023
50 days since my Kidney Transplant SURGERY. It’s been an interesting journey.
The new kidney, SYDNEY, is working very well. The transplant team is overjoyed with SYDNEY’S progress.

Labs are nothing short of amazing, says my dream team of KIDNEY TRANSPLANT SURGEONS. Indeed, we have a bit of swelling in my lower extremities. And yes, we developed a large water blister on the top of my left foot. The pain has been 10+.
They’re working feverishly to heal it and stop the pain. The CCF Pain Management Specialists, the Wound Care Specialists, the Infectious Disease Specialists, the Nephrologists, the endocrinologist (diabetic) Doctors, the wonderful Surgical Team, the Vein Surgeons, the many disciplines of Techs, and the dozens of angels (Nurses) who have truly preformed miracles and save my life over and over again. By the by, I feel fantastic, my Susan is constantly smiling. I will go home soon. My life has changed in every way.
When you get your kidney, please follow all protocols, indeed, Doctors orders are just that.

They know more than we do. Relax, breathe in, breathe out, then Move on. And try to always SMILE. You have lots to smile about.

Love u BOBBY SUSAN & SYDNEY.
